    Responsibilities

    The Support Specialist (“SS”) will report directly to the General Manager at FlyOver Canada (“FOC”), while also supporting other members of the FOC leadership team.  By providing organizational and logistics support, and coordinating a variety of FOC business processes, SS plays a critical role in the success of the operation overall.

    The SS will be “lead organizer” of FOC documents, office records, presentations, proposals, schedules and more.  The SS will develop and execute a variety of plans to keep the General Manager and other key members of the team on-time, on-track, and moving forward according to plan. As a key supporting member of the cast, the SS helps the team fulfill the strategic goals established in the FOC business plan.

    Attention to detail and effective communication skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference at FOC is one of the most important aspects of this position.

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:

    • Support the General Manager and FOC leadership team by assisting with files, folders, documents, meetings, calls, overall record-keeping, note-taking, reports, calendars, travel, and general office management
    • Bring high energy, creativity and awareness to the role
    • Take initiative and anticipate the needs of the General Manager and the business
    • Develop and refine existing office systems, design, and tools to improve efficiency and quality of work
    • Assist with or otherwise help coordinate projects which could include, but aren’t limited to, FlyOver Experience expansion capital projects, remodels or refreshes of FOC facilities, project readiness checklists, or other project timelines as needed to support the business
    • Work closely with the General Manager and FOC leaders to ensure the right communications are in place to deliver quality work on time and to understand projects in the pipeline
      Listen closely and anticipate business needs

    Qualifications

    • At least 3 years’ experience working in a guest-focused environment, preferably in hospitality, restaurants, theaters, hotels or resort businesses
    • Experience in a support role including planning, scheduling and organizing office details and overall tasks for business leaders
    • Experience working in a high-energy, diverse team environment
    • Experience handling challenges and unforeseen issues with creativity and humor
    • Some level of relevant education to the role including a High School Degree and at least some College
    • Highly organized and skilled at multi-tasking
    • Creative, flexible, and adaptable
    • Clear in both oral and written communications, including fluent in English language
    • Solid competency in basic MS Office tools including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint; Work with MS Chat, MS Teams a plus
    • Know how to handle private and confidential information with professionalism
    • Be prepared – this role requires legal ability to work in Canada
    • Strong curiosity and willingness to ask questions
    • Resilient and confident enough to accept constructive feedback and learn on the job
